Meet Huss. Finding little moments of light, one day at a time.

We spoke to Shamsiya about a little legend — her nephew, Huss. “After losing my sister in a tragic road accident last year, our family was shattered, especially her only son, Huss,” said Shamsiya. Huss also grew up without a father, leaving him without parents at a heartbreakingly young age.

In the early days, the house felt too quiet, and the nights too long. School drop-offs were heavy, and simple things suddenly took extra courage. Yet Huss kept showing up. He leaned on family, found comfort in small routines, and began taking tiny steps forward: a full day at school, a laugh with cousins, a weekend that felt a little lighter than the last.

With K4K’s help, there were new check-ins, steadier weeks and a few bright spots to look forward to. Confidence crept back in small ways. “In the midst of our grief, Kindness4Kids stepped in with compassion and a genuine desire to help.
